Our Scientific Network on Expatriate Management had its final meeting on July 23 and 24, 2015 in Nürnberg. The meeting was held at the School of Business and Economics of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen Nürnberg.
The two days were structured into five working sessions, in which the drafted papers were shortly presented and then discussed in plenary. The discussion benefited from participation of all attendants and especially from the expertise and highly appreciated comments of our external guests, Prof. John Daniels, PhD, Professor Emeritus of the Samuel N. Friedland Chair at the University of Miami, and Prof. Dr. Dr. Fabian Froese, Chaired Professor of HRM and Asian Business at the University of Göttingen. During the first day, both inspired the network members with their keynote speeches about their academic career and the importance of networking.
On the second day, three remaining extended papers were presented and discussed. Finally, the timeline and next steps concerning the publication of the edited book with Palgrave were presented. The participants are going to use the summer break to incorporate the valuable comments in their manuscripts, before the formal internal review process starts in September.
